Credits & Refunds
How credits work, when you're charged, and when you get credits back.
Credits
- Credits are bought in packs with a card through Stripe. $1 of credits = $1 toward sessions and booking fees.
- Credits don't expire while your account is open.
- Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred, except as a gift through Estreamerz.
Booking fee
- Each booking has a Player 1 booking fee of 8% of the session price, at least $0.50. Example: a $10 game is $10.80 in total.
- It's shown as its own line, with the total, before you confirm a booking.
- It's held and charged together with the session, and refunded together with the session: if the hold is released or the session is refunded in full, you get the booking fee back too.
- If you don't show up for a session you booked, the session and its booking fee are charged.
- Tips and gifts have no booking fee.
When you're charged
- When you book, the session price plus the booking fee is held from your credits.
- It's only charged once the session starts and you join the room.
- If the session doesn't start, the hold is released back to your credits.
Play now
- To send a Play now request, you need enough credits to cover your max for the whole length you picked, plus the booking fee.
- Nothing is held or charged until a Player 2 accepts. If nobody accepts within 5 minutes, the request ends and nothing is charged.
- When a Player 2 accepts, it's booked at their own price for the length you picked, and it follows the same rules as any other booking.
Cancelling or rescheduling
- Either player can ask to cancel or reschedule. If the other player accepts a cancel, your held credits go back to you in full, booking fee included.
- If a request isn't answered before the session starts, it expires and the booking stays as it is.
No-shows
No-show policy: If the person who booked doesn't join, the host must stay in the session room for the full booked time to be paid. The booker can still join at any point during the session, and the end time does not move. If they join after the late window shown on the booking, that booking is charged and can't be refunded, and the host is paid only if they stay the full booked time. If the host leaves early, the booking goes to admin review.
- If the Player 2 doesn't show up, once the late window on the booking has passed and the room was never opened, the Player 1 can tap Cancel and get credits back. The credits go back, booking fee included, and the Player 2 isn't paid. Waiting until the booked end does the same thing if the room is still never opened. Play now bookings stay on the usual rules.
- If the Player 1 doesn't join, and the Player 2 stays in the session room until the booked time ends, the session and its booking fee are charged and the Player 2 is paid for the full booking.
- If the Player 1 taps I'm not coming after the room is open and the late window has passed, the booking is charged, the Player 2 is paid for the full booking without staying until the end, and the Player 1 cannot join after that.
- If the Player 1 joins after the late window shown on the booking, the session still ends at the booked time. No extra time is added, the booking is charged, and it can't be refunded. The Player 2 is paid for it only if they stay until the booked end. Joining before that window is a normal session. If the late window is turned off, a late join is a normal session and the end time still does not move.
- If the Player 2 leaves early while the Player 1 has not joined, the Player 2 is not paid automatically. The booking goes to admin review.
- If something else went wrong during a session, use Get help on the booking within 48 hours. We review every report.
Squad nights
A squad night is a group session a Player 2 hosts. It follows the same rules as bookings, plus these:
- Price and booking fee. Subscribers pay the subscriber price. If the squad night is open to everyone, other players pay the price for everyone else. A paid squad night adds the normal booking fee. It's taken from your credits when you sign up.
- Player counts include the host. A squad of 4 is the host plus 3 players. The host is responsible for picking a size the game allows.
- Minimum players. Each squad night shows a minimum and a decision time. If fewer players than the minimum have signed up by then, it's cancelled and everyone gets a full refund, booking fee included.
- Dropping out works like a booking. You can't just drop out. You ask the host from the squad night. If the host approves, you get a full refund, booking fee included, and your spot goes to the waitlist. Until the host answers, you're still in. If the host declines, or doesn't answer before it starts, you stay on the list and it isn't refunded.
- Leaving the waitlist. You can leave the waitlist any time. You weren't charged, so there's nothing to refund.
- If the host cancels, removes you, or changes the time. If it's cancelled or you're removed, you get a full refund. If the time changes, you can drop out for a full refund any time before it starts, without asking the host.
- If the host changes the game or the size. You're told, and you can drop out for a full refund any time before it starts, without asking the host.
- If the host doesn't show. If the host never joins the squad night's voice room, everyone who signed up gets a full refund and the host isn't paid.
- If you don't show. If you sign up and don't join, it isn't refunded.
- Joining late. If a spot is still open after the squad night starts, you can join. That spot isn't refunded.
- The room. The host can open the Discord room from 10 minutes before the start. If they don't, it opens on its own at the start time, and the host-no-show rule above still applies.
- Waitlist. If a spot opens, the next player on the waitlist moves in and is charged then. If they don't have enough credits, the spot goes to the next player.
Subscriptions
- Subscriptions are paid from credits and renew every 30 days.
- Cancelling. You keep your perks until the month you paid for ends, and you aren't charged again. There's no refund for the rest of the month.
- Upgrading. A higher-priced plan starts right away. You pay only the price difference for the days left in your current month.
- Downgrading. A lower-priced plan starts on your next bill. There's no refund for downgrading.
- Missed renewal. If there aren't enough credits at renewal, perks stay on for 3 days while you add credits, then they pause. Nothing is charged after that.
- If a Player 2 turns subscriptions off or leaves, you keep your perks until your paid month ends and you aren't charged again.
Refunds to your card
- Credit purchases are final, except where the law requires a refund.
- If you were charged by mistake or twice, email support@estreamerz.com within 14 days and we'll fix it.
- If you close your account and have unused credits you paid for, contact us before deleting it and we'll review a refund to your original payment method.
Disputing a charge with your bank instead of contacting us may pause your account while we sort it out with Stripe.
